Whole Rose Hips

Caffeine free product.  100% organically- grown and hand-picked whole rose hips from cultivated Bulgarian rosehip fields.

The red rosehip fruits make wonderful tea which has specific fresh taste with a mild bitter note. The fruits are hand-picked from the rosehip bushes, also known as “wild roses”. During spring the bushes beautify everything around with their gentle flowers, while in the autumn they give us these small red fruits, packed with the summer sun’s energy and a combination of useful ingredients.

The rose hips (Rosa canina fruits) contain extremely high amounts of vitamin C.  For comparison, 100 g of fresh lemon contains 53 mg, whereas in 100 g of rose hips the average amount  of vitamin C found is about 500 mg. Besides vitamin C, rose hips contain high amounts of vitamin A (about 7 mg in 100 gr of fruit) and essential fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6). The seeds of the fruit contain vitamin E, which is known to give the skin a healthier look, promoting elasticity, fighting wrinkles and other signs of aging.

Tea made from dried rosehips can help stimulate the immune system, strengthen the heart and the vascular system, tone and refresh. Recipes for making tea and cold infusion can be found in the section “Suggested Use”.

Dry rosehips cut and sifted

I love these rosehips because they add a nice jammy texture and a hint of fruit notes to my tea. Try them with rose petals and hibiscus!
